The City of Aiken

The City of Aiken is located near the midpoint of South Carolina’s long border with Georgia, about 15 miles east of Augusta. US 1 and US 78 pass through the heart of the city, and Interstate 20 skirts its northern border. It is the seat of Aiken County.

Aiken is known throughout the world as an equestrian training center and a place rich in history and natural beauty. Our historical downtown area is easy to walk and filled with a variety of shops and restaurants you can only experience in this Southern town.

Sporting events in Aiken include polo, steeplechase racing and show jumping, baseball, soccer and golf, all of which are just minutes from our hotel. The Augusta National Golf Course, host of the Master’s Golf Tournament, is just over the river in Augusta, GA.
